Hamdan bin Zayed Shooting Championship
The Hamdan bin Zayed Shooting Championship, now in its fifth edition, is one of the region’s most prominent sporting and community events. It combines high-level sporting competition, community engagement, and the nurturing of young talent. Open to all nationalities and age groups, the championship is open to all nationalities, reflecting the UAE’s spirit of coexistence and cultural openness. It also reinforces its goals of spreading the culture of sports and cultural exchange. The championship targets all age groups from 12 years old, especially juniors, engaging them in an inspiring competitive environment that contributes to developing their skills and boosting their self-confidence.
Accompanying events
This is the second season to feature a host of accompanying sporting and social events alongside the shooting championship. This comes as part of the organizing committee’s commitment to strengthening community ties and enhancing public attendance, while enriching the sporting experience for participants and visitors alike. A distinguished array of events has been prepared to cater to various interests and categories, most notably: – Football Championship: Held as a team tournament, featuring an enjoyable sporting competition that enhances team spirit and teamwork. – Padel Tennis Championship: This is a newly popular sport that is gaining widespread popularity, allowing participants the opportunity to compete in a high-quality sporting atmosphere. – A special competition for people of determination: This competition is dedicated to enabling people of determination to showcase their talents and abilities in an encouraging and stimulating environment, affirming their active role in society and the championship’s commitment to inclusiveness.

Men's Junior 0.22 Skeet Rifle Category Season 5 2025
Article (1): Participation Conditions: The competition is open to all nationalities aged 12 and above (men). The competition is open to juniors of all nationalities aged 12 to 16. Compliance with all safety and security instructions and club regulations is required. The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not comply with the conditions or poses a danger to themselves or others.
Article (2): Tournament Regulations: The men’s tournament will be held in two stages: First stage (qualifiers): 10 counted shots. Final stage: 10 counted shots after a 10-minute adjustment period. The junior tournament will be held in one stage. Distance: 50 meters. Position: Prone. Target: Electronic. The highest scores from the qualifying rounds will qualify for the final stage. In the final stage, shooters will be assigned to groups and targets by lottery.
Article (3): Weapons and Ammunition: Weapon used: 0.22 caliber rifle. The competition will be held with Al Dhafra Shooting Club weapons, although the use of licensed private weapons is permitted in accordance with the applicable regulations. Club weapons may be rented in accordance with the club’s rental terms and regulations. Should a weapon malfunction, the shooter has the right to replace it. Weapon adjustment during the competition is performed by the shooter. Photographing the weapon is strictly prohibited.
Article (4): Time and Number of Shots: The shooter is given 30 minutes to fire 50 shots in the first stage, of which only 10 shots are counted. In the final stage, the shooter is given 10 minutes to adjust, followed by only 10 counted shots.
Article (5): Rests: Only front rests made of cotton or fabric are permitted.
Article (6): Judging Mechanism and Tie Settlement. Upon completion of shooting, the shooter signs the results and the judging form for both the first and final rounds. In the event of a tie, the number of exes is relied upon, followed by the tens by concession. If the tie persists, each shooter is given 5 additional shots to decide the result. The preliminary qualifying results are calculated with the final result. The competitor has the right to object within 30 minutes after shooting.
Article (7): Weapon Rental Conditions. If the shooter crosses out the results before printing, the shooter bears responsibility. Use of the rented weapon is restricted to the renter alone. Use of the private weapon is restricted to the owner or first-degree relatives (father, son, daughter). In the final round, if the renter of the weapon does not qualify, any other shooter has the right to rent the same weapon. The rented or private weapon is received and delivered through the trainer and the on-duty soldier in accordance with the club’s special conditions, provided that it is returned as received without any defects.
Article (8): Organization and Procedures. Entry to the range is by registration and obtaining an entry number. All weapons receipt and delivery operations are conducted through the trainer and the on-duty soldier. Any situation not provided for in these regulations will be referred to the tournament organizing committee for appropriate action.

Article (2): Tournament System: The tournament will be held in two stages: First Stage (Qualifying): 10 counted shots. Final Stage: 10 counted shots after a 10-minute adjustment period. The junior women’s tournament will be held in one stage. Distance: 50 meters. Position: Prone for juniors – Sitting for juniors. Target: Electronic. The top 25 shooters from the qualifying results will qualify for the final stage. In the final stage, the shooters will be assigned to groups and targets by lottery.
Article (3): Weapons and Ammunition: 1- Weapon used: 0.22 caliber shotgun. 2- The competition will be held with Al Dhafra Shooting Club weapons, and the use of licensed private weapons is permitted in accordance with the club’s rental terms and regulations. 3- Renting club weapons is permitted in accordance with the club’s rental terms and regulations. 4- If a weapon malfunctions, the shooter has the right to replace it. 5- The shooter will adjust the weapon during the competition. 6- Photographing the weapon is strictly prohibited.

Any situation not provided for in these regulations will be referred to the tournament’s organizing committee, which will make the appropriate decision at the time.
